Along with readytoolbox.com, this website's goal is to provide IT students and professionals with free, collaboratively created, and ready-to-use resources.
We hope that thanks to its simple design you'll be able to quickly find what you're looking for and use it. Unfortunately this comes at a price and you may sometimes
find that there isn't enough explanation going with the content: we clearly made a choice and we went for conciseness and efficiency. If you're having issues and came here to troubleshoot
them you're not in the right place and we advise you to redirect to the very good stackoverflow.com or other similar websites.
We hope these websites will add value compared with what's already out there and make
your IT life easier.
How to contribute
You can contribute by providing your own content. Not only this will get shared with the community but next time you need it, you know where to find it.
In order to contribute you have to create an account which can easily be done by simply signing in via either linkedin or twitter.
There are several ways of contributing. First by providing "some lines". Use this option if you want to share a command or a script. Click on the below
icon or the same one in the toolbar located at the botoom of your screen.
The other way to contribute is to write a tutorial. This task has become very easy thanks to our intuitive tutorial editor. To open the tutorial editor click on the below icon
or the one in the toolbar.
Valorize your profile
Contributing also enables you putting your professional and personal profiles forward. Indeed a tooltip will be displayed to users as they click on the info icon
placed next to every of your contributions. This is how it will look like:
John B. Engineer at Mycompany | London, United Kingdom
When you write a tutorial your profile is displayed permantly at the top of the page, ensuring maximum exposure.

Help us improve, give your feedback
We very much value user feedback as we believe it's the key to any business. The current version of the website was built based on feedback collected via linkedin and viadeo so
we really appreciate how this aspect is important.
Once again there are several ways to do so. First by voting for each command, script, or tutorial using the thumb up and thumb down icons. This will help us rank the content
to keep what's best on top.
Should you want to tell or ask us something you can use this contact form.
Support us
If you like this website and would like to support it then the best way is to use the social networking toolbar at the botoom of each page and share
this website with your friends and colleagues.
You can also follow us on twitter and you're more than welcome if you want to post some nice words.
Are you sure you want to continue?
When typing in the category try relying as much as possible on the autocomplete
feature to select what's already being used.
You created a new category. Please give a short description about it (ideally copy/paste wikipedia introduction paragrah if available)
You created a new section. Please give a short description about it (try to summarize what could be included in this section in general, not just what you're going to write yourself)
Use the cli / command-line brush for your one-liners and highlight custom strings
by putting them into brackets without space <likeThis>
In order to use this feature you must create a readylines account.
You can easily do so by signing in with either your twitter or linkedin profiles.
Please note that if you start signing in with one profile (e.g. twitter) and later on want to sign in with
the other (e.g. linkedin) you will first need to link the second profile in your account settings
otherwise a second and separate account will be created.
